Oh hey it’s my school.
In case anyone is curious, the reason the iris scans were put in place is ostensibly that there’s now a meal plan available that gives you unlimited entry into any of the dining halls, so obviously they wouldn’t want like 50 people just sharing one meal plan. Why they needed to put who knows what amount of money into this new system when we already all have photo IDs, however, is beyond me.
Or hell who am I kidding

If you cant attend life drawing sessions. This is the best thing for you
Let me show you something I recently found : Croquis Cafe!
You get to see models of different colors and shapes in a life drawing setting. They move and breath while posing (breathing like in real life :O) ambient music is playing in the background and you have 1, 2 and 5 minute sessions. I find it very helpful , you should try it.

In the words of Bull, “I have some ideas.”
…buuuut I’m cautious about getting too attached to them without knowing how much of our backstory is already set in stone. Luckily I had her planned out as a mercenary from the beginning, haha. Canon willing, babby Adaar’s parents and some fellow Tal-Vashoth got caught in a storm while trying to outrun the Qunari navy. Babby Adaar was washed ashore on the Rivaini coast and was raised by the remaining survivors, but her parents either died or were recaptured, nobody knows. Anyway, one of their merry band knew some of the common tongue and she took a shine to him; she’d follow him into town on errands, and she grew up having plenty of exposure to human society. When she started showing signs of magic, her friend helped look for ways she could learn how to hide it—there was a Saarebas in their group, still leashed, and both of them figured that the other Tal Vashoth wouldn’t take very kindly to another mage in their midst. He bought her some books, found her some Rivaini shamans to teach her what they could.
Obviously her friend has to die at some point because it’s Dragon Age and everything is sad, but babby Adaar ends up fine—by the time the other Tal Vashoth learn what she is, she knows enough magic to be pretty dangerous and they back off…at which point she figures, “Hell, if I’m scary enough to make a bunch of MY people nervous, I’ll bet I could wreak hell on some of those tiny human mercenaries. Magic is great!” and then she discovered her lifelong calling to set people on fire for money
…ahhhh well. Viv was definitely my second choice after Cass (arrogant asshole merc Adaar was just begging for a steamy rivalmance) but it’s ok. I was emotionally prepared, this time. I’ll be ok. 8’)
Beats Viv actually being a romance option but race- or gender-locked, anyway. That would be too cruel.
…and now I’m left with absolutely no idea whether I’ll be going for Sera or Josie the first time around. Huh.
